Kevin: For years, I taught horse riding lessons at Jason’s farm, but as my thirties approached, I yearned for something more. In 2000, I became a REALTOR®. Initially, I struggled to find my footing, but after several months, I reached out to Liz Freeman, who was hiring buyer's agents. Joining her team was a turning point in my career.
Liz taught me that real estate is not just about transactions; it's about being an active member of the community and genuinely caring for the people you serve. Upholding strong relationships has been the cornerstone of my business. When I formed my own team, I upheld those strong values, seeking to serve my clients and my community. When Jason approached me with questions about the industry, I was thrilled to help!
Jason: After a life-altering horse-riding accident, I began to reevaluate my career as a horse trainer. As I recovered, it became clear I was ready for change. I turned to my trusted friend, Kevin, who had worked alongside me with the horses for years and successfully pivoted to real estate. Inspired by his success, I wanted to follow in his footsteps and obtain my real estate license. We agreed that if I was serious about real estate, we could one day form a partnership.
Upon entering the real estate industry, Kevin advised me to work with Liz Freeman, who had played a pivotal role in his own journey, to see if this was truly the right direction for me. Over five years, I worked with her, learning the ins and outs of the industry. Over that time, I developed a true passion for helping people while applying the latest technology and innovations to achieve incredible outcomes.
Kevin & Jason: In 2008, we embarked on an even greater journey – forming our partnership. Many agents couldn’t make it through the market crash, let alone start a new partnership during this time. However, we believed that through our combined experiences and skills, we could achieve anything. We entered this new chapter putting our friendship first over the business, much like we put our clients first throughout every transaction. We believe that people and relationships should always be put first because that is what truly matters in life.
Faced with challenging circumstances, we focused on serving our existing clients, being there for anything they needed. This period forced us to be creative and push past barriers, making us stronger individuals and better agents. Our shared values of hard work, perseverance and honesty served as the foundation of our partnership.
Growing up, we were fortunate to witness the entrepreneurial spirit in action through the small business run by Jason's parents. They demonstrated how far hard work, perseverance and true passion can get you. This positive influence has shaped our approach to life and business, empowering us to pursue our dreams and overcome obstacles.
Our journey has been one of continuous growth and unwavering commitment. Every day, we walk into our office with a sense of purpose, knowing that our clients depend on us to deliver exceptional service. Our team, Ryan Barlowe, Taylor Clontz, Merideth Murray, and Rebecca Mayo have almost 25 years of combined service to our team and create the foundation for the powerful work we do. The clients we serve are backed by highly experienced and passionate professionals!
When not working, we stay connected to our roots showing horses – we currently have 14 horses and spend much of our free time traveling for shows or tending to the farm! We also enjoy serving our community, sitting on many boards and working with organizations to help give back to those we serve!
